My quick review...
I've only played the single player for about 30 minutes, of course, most of that time is waiting for the next segment to load Yawn. All our fast machines, huge amounts of RAM and we still have to wait for a segment to load every 30 or so steps. Drives me crazy when you get frozen and all you can do is look around. But anyway, that's single player.
It looks and feels like Call of Duty to me. Does multiplayer bring back some of the BF flavor to it? I'll get on and play and check it out. I guess I'm just not into computer simulated "realism".
Like the bobbing while walking is nauseating to me and reminds me more of trying to walk while looking through binoculars than it does walking. I mean seriously, my vision doesn't bob that much when I walk or even jump up and down.
It does look fantastic. The far graphics are okay too. My reaction is if you like Call of Duty style play, you'll like BF:BC2. |

Put the Jack Daniels away and you won't bob so much!!
What I noticed is the amazing realism. The graphics are very good. The Multiplayer takes a while to getting ued to, but the first thing I noticed was the weaponry works better than BF2. I can actually kill someone in this game ithout using a whole clip.
This game has a huge learning curve in it. So far, I'm keeping an open mind till I undestand the game better. Playing the Single version in Movie mode is a bit tiring, but you still get to play with all the toys and learn something as the story unfolds.
In multiplay, they haven't got all the bugs out yet and not joining the game (connection issues) and server crashes are frequent. Give it time before condeming it.
ASP has a server up and running. The ip is on our website, or you can find it on the game server list ingame.
I'm still learning the game, and it is going to be a long time before I fully understand it. And of course it won't take long for the hackers to ruin it.......... |

I haven't played this morning but as of last night using the play now function whilst initial log page works best for entering mullitplayer.
I just tried to log in w/that method twice- no dice so far.
After perusing the blogosphere all signs point to waiting on EA to fix problem.
In the meantime Odd you should have ASP list their in game names on our forum thread so we can join via friends playing method. |

I'm not really condemning it. If you like COD4 or COD:MW2, you're going to like this game. Concidering MW2 is the most popular game in the world at the moment, I don't think that is saying anything bad about BF:BC2. It does feel very console-ish to me though, which is a bad thing.
I paid the $50, I'll play it and give it a chance |

One thing I can say about DICE and EA, they can't seem to make a Server browser that works. BF2 always had the problem that if you click refresh while in your favorites, it wipes them out.
BF:BC2, hell, I can't even join some games. No message of why. Plus, I added 3-4 servers yesterday to my favorites and they are all gone today.
Clicking on your Favorites and then back to All Servers forces a complete rebuild of the server list. This kind of crap is just stupid. |

And as usual, My name is no where to be found
It is: {ASP}Oddball
On the main menu in game, click friends on the left side of the screen, click add friend and in the typing box type {ASP}, press search.
This will give you a list of all ASP members registered with the game.
Tom
ASP Teamspeak is: 209.247.83.121:9129 - PW is asptalk
The BF2BC server is: 63.211.221.113:19567
Hopefully there were no typos here if so I'll correct later.

| Grim, it's all a matter of what you like to play. If you like the COD style of play, like COD4, then BF:BC2 is worth the money. It is nicely done. |

Bear you are right. EA Games has some really serious issues here and they are not working on the issue at hand. They just want your money. In the last 5 days our games have crashed to the desktop way too many times to count. I'm going to step away from BF2BC until some fix is made. Right now it is just too frustrrating to play.
What a waste...
I'm going back to BF2 and all its mods, especially special forces. Also I have been playing COD1 - yes there are still servers out there. Even Cod2 sniper and frag servers.
For the time being cod6 and BF2BC are shelved. Time for a pleasant change.................

I need to reinstall COD 1. I found jimmydunnit still playing a while back when I installed it. Few other names, mostly OMC. They even had a couple ASP maps.
I've been playing a lot of AIX still. We've actually been getting our server running a few times too. |

| They fixed a lot of the server-browser issues, so it shouldn't be as big a pain in the arse as before. |
